Product Description

Overview

The TOXU TX-A73 is a dual-port, dual-polarized omnidirectional antenna developed for compatible 2.4GHz WiFi and industrial wireless-network equipment.

The antenna operates from 2400 to 2500MHz and provides a specified gain of 10dBi for each polarization port. Its horizontal and vertical polarization configuration supports compatible dual-port access points, wireless bridges, hotspots, and WLAN communication systems.

The omnidirectional radiation design provides 360-degree horizontal coverage, making the antenna suitable for applications requiring wireless connectivity around a central installation point.

The TX-A73 uses two N female connectors and a pole-mounted structure. Its overall dimensions are approximately 75 × 1150mm, and the internal radiating structure uses copper tubing.

The antenna is a passive RF component. Actual communication distance, throughput, and coverage depend on the connected radio, transmit power, receiver sensitivity, cable loss, installation height, terrain, surrounding obstacles, interference, and local radio regulations.

System Integration

The TX-A73 should be connected to compatible 2400–2500MHz wireless equipment with two 50-ohm RF ports.

The two N female antenna connectors require suitable N male cable assemblies or adapters. Confirm the equipment connector, cable type, cable length, and installation distance before ordering.

Install the antenna vertically on a stable pole or mast with sufficient clearance from nearby metal structures, walls, power cables, transmitting antennas, and other potential sources of signal blockage or interference.

High-frequency cable loss can significantly reduce system performance. Use the shortest practical low-loss RF cable, especially when the radio and antenna are installed far apart.

Actual wireless coverage and communication distance cannot be determined by antenna gain alone. They depend on the complete link budget, including radio power, receiver sensitivity, cable loss, installation height, terrain, obstacles, interference, and regulatory limits.

Testing with the actual wireless equipment, RF cable, mounting structure, and operating environment is recommended before volume deployment.

FAQ

Q: Is the TX-A73 a LoRa antenna?

A: The standard TX-A73 operates from 2400 to 2500MHz and is positioned as a 2.4GHz WiFi antenna. It should not be described as a conventional 433MHz, 868MHz, or 915MHz LoRa antenna.

Q: Does the standard antenna support 5.8GHz?

A: No. The confirmed standard frequency range is 2400–2500MHz. A separate 5.8GHz version must be evaluated and specified independently.

Q: Does 2 × 10dBi mean the total gain is 20dBi?

A: No. It means the antenna has two polarization ports, each with a specified gain of 10dBi. Antenna gain must not be added together as 20dBi.

Q: Can the antenna guarantee a 50km communication range?

A: No. Communication distance depends on the entire wireless link, including the radios, transmit power, receiver sensitivity, cable loss, antenna height, terrain, interference, and local regulations.

Q: Which connectors does the TX-A73 use?

A: The standard configuration uses two N female connectors. Compatible N male RF cables or adapters are required.

Q: Can TOXU customize the antenna?

A: Frequency, connector, dimensions, mounting structure, labeling, and packaging can be evaluated according to the required application and order quantity.
