Overview


The TOXU KC.WA.00022 is an active outdoor GNSS antenna designed for compatible timing receivers, synchronization equipment, positioning systems, fixed reference equipment, and industrial GNSS terminals.

Its 1560–1606MHz operating range covers BDS B1 at 1561.098MHz, GPS L1 at 1575.42MHz, and GLONASS L1 signals around 1602MHz. This enables one antenna to receive compatible L1-band signals from multiple satellite navigation constellations.

The internal GNSS patch antenna uses right-hand circular polarization and provides a specified typical zenith gain of 5.0dBic at 1561.098MHz and 1575.42MHz when measured on a 100 × 100mm ground plane.

An integrated low-noise amplifier provides 38dB typical gain, gain flatness of ±2dB, a noise figure below 2.5dB, and an output VSWR below 1.5 under the specified test conditions.

The complete antenna assembly provides a specified typical overall zenith gain of 38±3dBic. The connected GNSS receiver must supply suitable active-antenna bias power through the RF port.

The KC.WA.00022 uses an approximately Φ66.5 × 80mm radome with an IP67-rated enclosure. Its screw-mount structure and integrated N male connector support secure installation on compatible equipment panels and mounting surfaces.

The standard antenna does not use an external coaxial cable. It connects directly through its N male RF interface, helping reduce additional cable connections at the antenna side.

The KC.WA.00022 is an active GNSS antenna only. It does not contain a GNSS receiver, timing module, PPS output, or positioning engine and cannot independently calculate position or generate timing signals.

System Integration


The KC.WA.00022 is an active GNSS antenna containing an integrated low-noise amplifier. It must be connected to a compatible receiver input capable of supplying active-antenna bias power through the RF connection.

The complete antenna supports a specified operating voltage range of 2.7–16V DC and current consumption below 25mA. The receiver’s antenna-bias voltage, current capacity, short-circuit protection, and active-antenna monitoring functions should be confirmed before connection.

The connected receiver must support the required GPS L1, BDS B1, and/or GLONASS L1 signals. The antenna cannot add constellation or frequency compatibility to a receiver that does not support those signals.

The standard connector is an N male interface. It must be connected to a mechanically and electrically compatible N female port or 50-ohm RF cable assembly.

The antenna does not include an external cable. Where remote mounting is required, cable type, length, insertion loss, connector configuration, and outdoor protection should be selected according to the complete system requirements.

For timing applications, the timing accuracy is determined primarily by the connected GNSS timing receiver, receiver firmware, PPS implementation, cable delay compensation, satellite visibility, antenna position, and electromagnetic environment. The antenna alone does not generate a PPS or timing output.

The screw-mount structure should be installed on a mechanically suitable panel using the supplied nuts and washers. The mating surface, mounting hole, sealing method, and tightening torque should be validated for the finished equipment.

For improved GNSS reception, install the antenna with a clear view of the sky and away from high-power transmitters, switching power supplies, metal obstructions, reflective surfaces, and other potential interference sources.

Although the enclosure is specified as IP67, final outdoor protection depends on correct installation, connector sealing, mounting-panel sealing, and the environmental protection of the connected cable assembly.

The available specification states 15kV air-discharge ESD protection but does not provide a lightning-protection or surge-protection rating. External surge protection should be evaluated separately for exposed rooftop, base-station, and infrastructure installations.

This antenna covers L1-band GNSS signals only. It should not be described as a multi-frequency L1/L2/L5 RTK antenna. RTK or high-precision timing performance depends on the connected receiver and complete system architecture.

Final RF performance, timing performance, connector compatibility, cable loss, mounting strength, and environmental sealing should be verified on the customer’s finished equipment before volume production.
