Product Description

Overview

The TOXU KC.GA.00017 is a passive external GNSS rod antenna designed for compatible satellite positioning, navigation, tracking, automotive, and industrial terminal equipment.

The antenna covers 1561-1602MHz, including compatible BDS B1, GPS L1, and other GNSS signals located within the specified frequency range. It has a nominal input impedance of 50 ohms and does not contain an integrated low-noise amplifier.

Measured maximum gain ranges from 0.88dBi to 1.46dBi at the specified test frequencies. Measured efficiency is approximately 70%, while typical VSWR values range from 1.0 to 1.2 under the specified test conditions.

The KC.GA.00017 uses a slim fiberglass rod housing and an adjustable direct-mount connector structure. The antenna can be installed in a straight or angled position according to the equipment arrangement and available installation space.

Unlike cable-mounted GNSS antennas, the standard KC.GA.00017 connects directly to a compatible RF port without an external coaxial cable. This helps simplify installation on GNSS receivers, navigation terminals, tracking equipment, communication terminals, and other compatible devices.

The standard mechanical drawing specifies an overall straight length of 203.1±3mm, a fiberglass rod length of 180±2mm, and a rod diameter of Φ13±0.5mm.

Approximately 70% Measured Efficiency

The measured efficiency is 70.05% at 1561MHz, 70.15% at 1575.42MHz, and 70.79% at 1602MHz.

Low Typical VSWR

Typical VSWR values are 1.1 at 1561MHz, 1.0 at 1575.42MHz, and 1.2 at 1602MHz under the specified measurement conditions.

Foldable Connector Structure

The adjustable connector structure allows the antenna to be positioned vertically or at an angle according to the terminal installation arrangement.

Direct RF Port Connection

The antenna connects directly to a compatible GNSS receiver or terminal RF port without requiring a separate coaxial cable.

Slim Fiberglass Rod Housing

The approximately 203mm-long antenna uses a Φ13mm fiberglass rod housing suitable for external terminal installation.

Customization Support

Connector configuration, housing color, labeling, packaging, and antenna tuning can be evaluated according to customer equipment and project requirements.

System Integration

The KC.GA.00017 is a passive GNSS antenna. It should be connected to a receiver input designed for a passive antenna or an RF input configuration compatible with the antenna’s electrical characteristics.

Because the antenna does not contain an integrated low-noise amplifier, it does not require a DC bias voltage. If the connected receiver normally supplies antenna power through its RF port, the receiver configuration should be checked before installation.

The antenna covers 1561-1602MHz. The actual supported satellite signals depend on whether the connected GNSS receiver supports the corresponding frequency, constellation, signal format, and channel configuration.

The antenna itself does not calculate position, provide correction data, or create RTK accuracy. Positioning performance depends on the connected GNSS receiver, firmware, satellite environment, correction service, antenna placement, and complete system design.

The antenna should be installed where it has a suitable view of the sky. Metal structures, vehicle roofs, equipment housings, nearby antennas, electronic modules, and interference sources may affect antenna efficiency, radiation pattern, and received signal level.

The adjustable connector allows the antenna angle to be changed according to the installation environment. Final performance should be verified at the actual installation angle on the customer’s finished equipment.

The standard configuration does not use an external coaxial cable. The equipment must therefore provide sufficient space around the RF connector for antenna installation and angle adjustment.

Connector compatibility must be confirmed before ordering. The mechanical drawing identifies a 1/4-36UNS-2B threaded interface, but the complete connector series, gender, and center-contact configuration should follow the approved sample or order drawing.
