Product Description

Overview

The TOXU TX-A16 is a wideband external paddle antenna developed for compatible cellular routers, industrial gateways, CPE, IoT terminals, wireless modems, monitoring equipment, and WiFi communication devices.

The antenna covers 698-2700MHz and 5100-5800MHz. The lower frequency range supports integration with equipment operating in selected 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, IoT, and 2.4GHz wireless bands, while the upper range supports compatible 5GHz WiFi equipment.

The TX-A16 uses an omnidirectional radiation pattern with vertical polarization and 50Ω input impedance. Its 200mm paddle housing and adjustable joint allow the antenna body to be positioned according to the installation direction of the connected equipment.

The standard antenna is available with SMA male or RP-SMA male connectors. Connector type, housing color, frequency matching, branding, and packaging can be customized according to the customer’s device interface and project requirements.

Although the TX-A16 covers multiple communication bands, compatibility must be confirmed against the exact frequency bands of the customer’s modem, router, wireless module, or terminal. It should not be described as supporting every global 4G or 5G band.

Key Features

698-2700MHz Wideband Coverage

The lower operating range supports compatible cellular, IoT, telemetry, and 2.4GHz wireless communication equipment.

5100-5800MHz WiFi Coverage

The upper operating range supports compatible 5GHz WiFi routers, gateways, access points, CPE, and wireless terminals.

Cellular and WiFi Combination

The wideband antenna structure allows compatible cellular and WiFi frequency bands to be covered by one external paddle antenna configuration.

Omnidirectional Radiation Pattern

The omnidirectional design provides 360-degree horizontal signal coverage when the antenna is installed vertically and properly matched with the connected equipment.

Vertical Polarization

The vertically polarized antenna structure is suitable for routers, gateways, modems, industrial terminals, and other equipment using a compatible antenna orientation.

VSWR of ≤1.5

The specified VSWR supports efficient RF signal transmission across the approved frequency ranges under the defined test conditions.

Rotatable Paddle Structure

The adjustable antenna joint allows the antenna body to be positioned according to the device installation direction and surrounding space.

SMA Male and RP-SMA Male Options

SMA male and RP-SMA male versions are available for different equipment interfaces. The exact connector must be confirmed before ordering because their center-contact structures are different.

200mm External Housing

The slim 200mm paddle housing is suitable for direct installation on wireless routers, gateways, terminals, CPE, and industrial communication equipment.

OEM and ODM Configuration

TOXU can evaluate frequency matching, RF connector, housing color, branding, packaging, and other project-specific requirements.

Compatibility depends on whether the operating frequency and RF interface of the connected equipment match the specified TX-A16 configuration.

System Integration

The TX-A16 can be connected directly to compatible cellular routers, wireless gateways, CPE, industrial terminals, monitoring devices, access points, and communication equipment using a 50Ω SMA male or RP-SMA male antenna interface.

Before ordering, customers should confirm the exact operating bands of the connected wireless module or modem. General descriptions such as “4G,” “5G,” or “WiFi” are not sufficient for determining compatibility because different modules, operators, and regional networks may use different frequency bands.

The antenna covers 698-2700MHz and 5100-5800MHz. It can support compatible equipment operating within these ranges, but it must not be treated as a universal antenna covering every cellular or WiFi frequency.

The connector type must also be confirmed carefully. SMA male and RP-SMA male connectors may have similar external threads, but their center-contact arrangements are different. Customers should provide the equipment datasheet, connector model, or a clear interface photograph when the connector is uncertain.

For suitable omnidirectional coverage, the antenna should normally be positioned vertically and kept away from large metal surfaces, shielded structures, motors, power supplies, high-current circuits, and other strong electromagnetic interference sources.

Actual communication distance and signal quality depend on the wireless module, network coverage, transmit power, receiver sensitivity, antenna matching, equipment enclosure, installation orientation, surrounding obstacles, and RF environment.

For customized projects, customers should provide the required operating bands, wireless module or equipment model, connector type, device structure, installation position, available space, application environment, and estimated order quantity.
