Product Description

Overview

The TOXU TX-A80 is an external magnetic-mount antenna developed for compatible wireless communication equipment operating at 433MHz.

The antenna combines a vertical whip structure, magnetic base, external coaxial cable, and SMA male connector. It can be placed on a suitable ferromagnetic metal surface while the cable connects it to the wireless module, gateway, telemetry terminal, remote-control equipment, sensor receiver, or other compatible RF device.

The listed configuration provides 5dBi nominal gain, linear polarization, 50Ω impedance, VSWR of no more than 1.9, and maximum input power of 50W.

The antenna body and magnetic base measure approximately 168 × 30mm according to the available product information. The cable specification and cable length must be confirmed separately before ordering.

The TX-A80 is a 433MHz antenna and should not be selected for GSM, LTE, WiFi, GNSS, or other unmatched frequency systems. Customers should confirm the exact equipment frequency, antenna-interface voltage conditions where applicable, connector type, and local radio regulations before ordering.

Key Features

433MHz Operating Frequency

The TX-A80 is designed for compatible wireless communication equipment operating at 433MHz.

5dBi Nominal Gain

The listed antenna configuration provides 5dBi nominal gain. Actual system performance depends on antenna matching, mounting surface, cable loss, equipment sensitivity, surrounding obstacles, and the RF environment.

Magnetic-Mount Installation

The magnetic base allows the antenna to be installed temporarily or permanently on a suitable ferromagnetic metal surface without drilling a mounting hole.

External Antenna Positioning

The attached coaxial cable allows the antenna to be positioned away from the equipment enclosure, helping customers select a more suitable installation location.

Linear Polarization

The linearly polarized configuration is suitable for compatible 433MHz telemetry, remote-control, sensor, gateway, and wireless data-transmission equipment.

SMA Male RF Connector

The standard configuration uses an SMA male connector for connection to equipment with a compatible SMA female antenna port.

50Ω RF System

The TX-A80 uses a standard 50Ω impedance configuration for compatible wireless modules, receivers, transmitters, gateways, and RF terminals.

OEM and ODM Configuration

TOXU can evaluate frequency tuning, cable type, cable length, connector configuration, magnetic base, product labeling, branding, and packaging for suitable projects.

Applications

  • 433MHz Wireless Telemetry Equipment

  • Industrial Remote-Control Systems

  • Compatible LoRa Gateways and Terminals

  • Wireless Sensor Systems

  • Remote Data-Collection Equipment

  • Industrial IoT Gateways

  • Access-Control Equipment

  • Alarm and Security Systems

  • Smart-Meter Communication Equipment

  • Wireless Monitoring Terminals

  • 433MHz Receivers and Transmitters

Application compatibility depends on the exact equipment frequency, supported bandwidth, RF connector, transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, cable loss, installation method, surrounding environment, and local radio regulations.

System Integration

The TX-A80 should be connected to compatible 50Ω wireless equipment through its SMA male connector. The connected device should use an SMA female antenna interface unless an alternative connector is specified.

Before ordering, customers should confirm that the equipment operates at 433MHz. Similar-looking antennas intended for 315MHz, 868MHz, 915MHz, GSM, LTE, WiFi, or GNSS are not automatically interchangeable.

For suitable magnetic installation, the antenna base should be placed on a clean, flat, stable ferromagnetic metal surface. Aluminum, plastic, glass, wood, and many composite enclosures do not provide magnetic attachment.

The metal mounting surface can also affect antenna matching and radiation performance. Sample testing should therefore be completed on the actual equipment or intended installation structure before volume production.

The antenna should be kept vertical whenever practical and positioned away from large obstructions, shielded spaces, high-current circuits, motors, power supplies, and other strong electromagnetic interference sources.

The coaxial cable should not be sharply bent, crushed, continuously pulled, or routed beside strong interference sources. Longer cables produce greater signal loss, so cable type and length should be selected according to the complete RF system.

Actual communication distance cannot be determined from the 5dBi antenna-gain value alone. It also depends on transmitter power, receiver sensitivity, cable loss, antenna height, terrain, obstructions, interference, data rate, modulation method, and system configuration.

FAQ

Q: Is the TX-A80 a GSM or LTE antenna?

A: No. The listed TX-A80 configuration is designed for 433MHz equipment. It should not be used as a GSM or LTE antenna unless a separate cellular-frequency version is specifically developed and verified.

Q: Is the antenna suitable for 433.92MHz equipment?

A: The listed product is identified as a 433MHz antenna. Compatibility with equipment operating specifically at 433.92MHz should be confirmed through the approved RF specification and sample testing.

Q: Can the antenna be installed on any surface?

A: No. The magnetic base requires a suitable ferromagnetic metal surface. It will not attach correctly to plastic, glass, wood, aluminum, or non-magnetic composite surfaces.

Q: Which connector does the TX-A80 use?

A: The standard configuration uses an SMA male connector. Alternative connector configurations can be evaluated according to the equipment interface.

Q: What are the cable type and cable length?

A: These details are not confirmed in the currently available product information and must be specified in the approved order configuration.

Q: Can TOXU guarantee the communication distance?
