Secondary GNSS Applications

A secondary-GPS cable configuration can be evaluated for systems requiring connection to a compatible GPS2, UART or I²C port.

System Integration

The TX-M10 combines a u-blox M10 GNSS receiver, active ceramic antenna, IST8310 electronic compass and UAV status functions in one compact module.

A typical system connection is:

GNSS Satellites → Built-in Ceramic Antenna → TX-M10 GNSS Receiver and IST8310 Compass → 10-Pin Cable → Compatible Pixhawk Flight Controller → Autopilot System

The GNSS receiver provides position, velocity and time data, while the IST8310 electronic compass provides magnetic heading information to the compatible flight controller.

Before installation, customers should confirm the connector pinout, supply voltage, flight-controller port, firmware version, baud rate and compass orientation.

The standard 10-pin version is intended for compatible Pixhawk-standard GPS Module or GPS1 ports. Different cable and connector configurations can be evaluated for secondary GPS and other flight-controller interfaces.

For PX4, ArduPilot, INAV or Betaflight systems, customers should verify that the selected firmware version supports the u-blox M10 receiver, IST8310 compass and RGB status indicator.
