Product Description

Overview

The TOXU TX-DroneCAN M9N is an integrated multi-GNSS navigation module developed for UAVs, drones, robotic platforms and autonomous systems using compatible DroneCAN flight-control architectures.

This model is designed as a compatible alternative to the Holybro DroneCAN M9N GPS module. It is manufactured and supplied by TOXU and is not an original Holybro product.

The TX-DroneCAN M9N integrates a u-blox NEO-M9N GNSS receiver, an STM32G4 processor, a BMM150 three-axis electronic compass, a ceramic patch antenna, a low-noise amplifier and LED status indicators inside a compact ABS housing.

The GNSS receiver supports concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou satellite signals. It also supports SBAS augmentation systems, including WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS and QZSS.

The module uses the DroneCAN communication protocol at 1 Mbit/s. Compared with a conventional serial-interface GPS module, the CAN bus architecture allows compatible peripheral devices to share the same CAN network without occupying an additional serial port on the flight controller.

With integrated GNSS positioning, heading sensing, antenna reception and CAN bus communication, the TX-DroneCAN M9N helps simplify UAV system installation and reduce the number of separate navigation components.

System Integration

The TX-DroneCAN M9N combines GNSS signal reception, satellite positioning, heading sensing, onboard processing and DroneCAN communication in one compact unit.

A typical system configuration is:

GNSS Satellites → Built-in Ceramic Antenna → u-blox NEO-M9N Receiver → STM32G4 Processor → DroneCAN Network → Compatible Flight Controller → Autopilot System

The BMM150 compass provides heading information to the compatible flight-control system, while the u-blox NEO-M9N receiver provides GNSS positioning data. The STM32G4 processor manages the onboard data and DroneCAN communication.

The module operates from a 4.7–5.2 V power supply and communicates at 1 Mbit/s through the CAN bus. Before installation, customers should verify the connector pinout, power supply, CAN wiring, termination configuration and flight-controller firmware settings.

Multiple compatible CAN peripherals may share the same CAN network when the flight controller, CAN wiring and termination are configured correctly.

Mounting accessories may be supplied according to the selected product configuration. Flight controllers, UAV frames and other external equipment shown for application demonstration are not included unless otherwise specified.
